Dear Future Husband & Wife and The Journey 2 “I Do” exist to inspire, celebrate, and elevate God-led relationships and marriages. Together, we honor the journey—encouraging individuals to grow, prepare, and step confidently into the love and commitment God has planned for them.
We exist because the journey to love, marriage, and legacy is layered. It’s not just about finding “the one.”
It’s about becoming the one.
It’s about healing the parts of you no one applauded, building the vision God placed in you, and honoring the covenant long before anyone witnesses it. It’s about saying “yes” to purpose, “yes” to growth, and “I do” to God before you ever stand before a partner.
The Journey 2 “I Do” was created to walk with you through every layer of that process.
Because before the wedding, there’s the work.
Before the covenant, there’s the commitment.

Founder's Story
Founder’s Message: Simone R. Johnson
I am Simone R. Johnson, founder of Dear Future Husband & Wife and The Journey 2 “I Do” Magazine.
These platforms were created to do more than share stories—they were created to bridge the journey between preparation and partnership, process and promise, faith and action. One guides the heart toward intentional waiting; the other celebrates the manifestation of love and commitment. Together, they reflect the full spectrum of God-led relationships.
My own journey has been far from easy. I’ve walked through heartbreak, healing, purpose, reinvention, and spiritual refinement. I had to confront the areas in me that needed growth—not just for love, but for legacy. I realized that praying for a God-ordained marriage wasn’t enough; I had to become the woman ready to walk the path fully, embracing every challenge, every lesson, and every moment of growth. And in that becoming, I realized I wasn’t alone.
There are wives-in-waiting and husbands-in-the-making, individuals who are bold, creative, faith-driven, purpose-filled, and doing the work of preparation—believing God for something real, lasting, and impactful. This is why I created these platforms: for us.
